Loving it...

Vitamix Professional 750 container Stainless

At first I thought I was crazy for wanting to buy a blender for this much money. But I can honestly say after one month of using it at least 5 times a week and some times more, I don't regret buying it. I have done everything in it so far and they have turned out great. I made plantains with milk, sugar and some water, I have always had to put it through a strainer with any of my previous blenders, not with the VItamix. Even my carrot / apple juice came out very good. My husband who thought this was another appliance with a high tag price is amazed of how I've been using it and what it can do. And I am just as impressed with it. This is my first time owning one and I will never go back to a regular blender. The best feature for me is the presets. All i do is just put everything in it and let it stop on it's own. I love the self-cleaning option as well. My only small issue is that it's not as quiet as I thought it would be. It's actually louder than any cheapie blender that I have owned. It's not soo much that it is an issue for me but as how it is being advertised that it is quieter that the previous ones. Since I didn't have one before this model, it makes me think how much louder were they. Hope this helps anyone who is skeptical of buying one.

  1. We bought the 750 Pro at Williams-Sonoma because the price was the same and we could get it right away. We have the Vitamix 5200. The 750 Pro is more expensive but works much better. We use it to make green drinks everyday. The drinks are heavy so with the 5200 I had to use the tamper often. With the 750 Pro I have not had to use the tamper except for a couple of times. With the wider base and larger blade, it works so much more efficiently. It is expensive but it is worth the extra expense if you want to make healthy drinks everyday.

  3. Finally bit the bullet and purchased the Vitamix because of all the positive reviews. The cost ia a little crazy when you think about it, but holly cow, is this thing awesome! This blender does it all, and is a great way to get the family to eat more healthy. My wife throws spinach in most everything and the kids have no clue.

This thing is built like a tank and should last the next fiscal cliff or apocalypse. However, you may want to hide it when family visits, as they may steal it, it's that good.

by the way, I got this blender at JLHUFFORD dot c o m for 10 percent less with "blender10" which made the price a little bit more palatable.

  4. This is the absolute best blender in the world. I drooled over Vitamix blenders for months now, but I could not justify paying so much for a blender, but it is completely worth it. I make smoothies every day and it is amazing. I cannot compare it to other Vitamix models, but I know that it is nothing like my Walmart blender. I only need to use my tamper when I don't have much liquid. I used to have to stop my old blender and open the top two or three times to push the food to the bottom, but this Vitamix has insane power and creates a true vortex. My Vitamix makes food so much smoother. It blends the smallest hardest seeds such as strawberry or tomato into nothing. I received my Vitamix a little over a week ago for Christmas and so far I have made smoothies, daiquiris, pie crust, applesauce, pearsauce, and a couple soups. I was most impressed with my tomato soup. I roasted tomatoes in the oven and then blended with broth and it blended the seeds and skin into one smooth mixture that was as smooth as condensed tomato soup from a can, but tasted so much better.

As for the blender itself it seems quiet, sturdy, and is extremely well made. The main reason that I got the Professional 750 is because I knew that I would use my blender almost everyday and it would stay on the counter. I figured I would have this blender for many years to come and I knew that I did not want to wish I had gotten a better model in a few years. hated the idea that the other models would not fit under the counter and they just looked so awkward to me. The stainless body and the wide/short container make my Vitamix so sleek looking and I am proud to have it out on the counter. I did not think I would use the presets, but they are the only buttons I use! I have used pulse a few times and used the dial when I made my apple and pear sauce so it would stay chunky.

I cannot say enough about this awesome blender! The best purchase I have ever made.

  5. I spent a week agonizing over which Vitamix model to get and I'm so happy I picked this one. It's beautiful and blends like a beast. I love the presets, especially since I have a history of forgetting that I've got stuff cooking on the stove. Yes, the price is steep, but you get what you pay for and you won't regret it. And it's quite a step up from my sorry Kitchenaid blender. It's completely changed the way I eat--from an empty fridge and frequent restaurant delivery to a fridge stocked with fruit and vegetables. It's so easy to clean and there's minimal food preparation before throwing it into the Vitamix. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!

  6. I've had my vitamix 750 for four days and I just love it. I decided to try all of it's features so if I didn't like it I could return it in 60 days. It works just like they said it would. The 750 was suppose to be quiet and I think it makes a lot of noise, so I can't imagine how much noise the other blenders make. My husband loves the soup, he is a big soup eater. It's really great!!

  7. I have been checking out Vitamix online for years now. The thought of paying more for a blender than I did for my first car, was too intimidating.

Two weeks ago right in the middle of pureeing a large batch of soup, my two year old Breville stopped. My husband checked and the bearing was frozen and couldn't be repaired. Since I wasn't that crazy about the Breville ($199), and the fact that it only lasted for 2 years with moderate use, I knew that I had to start all over again choosing another brand. I then spent time online AGAIN checking out various brands and models, and decided to go for the 750, figuring that if it didn't meet my high expectations, which were really high, especially at this price, I would return it.

So off we went to the mall to the one store that carried the 750. The price was the same as Amazon, and I needed it NOW.

I have used it at least once daily for two weeks and I appreciate it more with each use. Since then, by reading more reviews and other online sources, I have learned new things about Vitamix and the 750, and I am so glad that I went for the top of the line. I thought maybe the pre-sets and the speed might be overkill - but I have used all of the features and glad I went in that direction. Of course next year they will come out with something else that may or may not be better, but probably more expensive, but truthfully unless it vacuums the house and does the dishes, I can't think of any more features or power that I would use.

I have made their potato/spinach soup (cooks itself in the Vitamix), lots of sorbets, daily smoothies, whole fruit frozen margaritas, and almond butter. What sold my husband (who was still suffering from price shock) was when we filled it up with ice and water and in 5-10 SECONDS we had a container of crushed ice. Great to put on a tray under oysters or for sno cones.

It comes with a 64 oz. container which is good for large jobs, but I thought for my daily smoothies that it was too large and a 32 oz. container would be easier to handle and clean. I purchased the 32 oz container and I am using it daily, for my smoothies and other things. The store told me that the tamper for the 750 would fit into the 32 oz container WRONG... it is too wide, you have to use the mini tamper, which is sold separately.

The only fault I have found, albeit minor, is that on the 64 oz container, the measurement increments are clear and raised, and almost impossible to read. If you are making soups, etc. you have to measure liquids in a separate measuring cup. No biggie, but it is a minor inconvenience. The 32 oz container is clearly marked in black.

A major factor in my decision to purchase it, was their 7 year warranty. I have called Vitamix Customer Service and their reps are VERY knowledgeable and friendly.

If you can afford it without mortgaging your home - and you are still waffling .... buy it, you won't be disappointed - I know I'm not.

  8. The 750 model blender it the best of the best. This is my third vita-mix and I love its pre-set features from smoothies to the cleaning cycle they are handy and simple. The machine weighs less the 5000 or 5200 series blenders I have had the last ten years with it a plus. The compact container fits underneath my cabinets even when on its base. The best feature I love on this machine believe it or not is the on and off switch -many a time I have turned on my other models accidently and had a big mess.

P.S. Buying this machine on Amazon saved me a bundle I was trying to get it other places even online auctions and its pricey.
