Read First Before Buy Action Blender BLSTRM DZ Brushed Stainless
I would have LOVED to buy one of those $500+ blenders (Blendtech or Vitamix, etc.) but that is just not in our budget (now, and probably ever!) But with this blender, I do not feel like I am missing out on ANY of those features, power, quality, of the higher-priced ones. Does an amazing job on pretty much everything I've thrown at it. I LOVE the pre-programmed "chop food" mode, which is absolutely perfect for making salsa, guacamole, chopping onions, and MUCH more. (no more omion-tears!)
For making perfect salsa, I put in 1/2 quart of home-canned tomatoes, press the "chop" mode, and just let it pulse 3 times, and turn off. Remove from pitcher and add the 2nd half of the quart, repeat. Leave just a little liquid in pitcher, add onions, garlic, spices, etc., pulse a few times, and it's done! OR, just add 1 packet of Mrs. Wages Classic Salsa Mix, .8-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12) mix to the quart of chopped tomatoes and stir, and eat! Takes about 3 minutes, start to finish. :)
The blades on this thing can be LETHAL though... VERY sharp, very efficient. When cleaning, use extra care, and/or use a scrub-brush so you don't need to get your fingers too close. (or clean in dish-washer, but I hand-wash because I like it to be always clean and ready to use, not sitting in the dishwasher waiting for the next load!)

I purchased this blender from a major discount chain, because it was about the same price as on amazon and I didn't want to wait for it to ship. I wanted to use it to make green smoothies as part of the Aztec diet. I was a little concerned that it might not be able to handle some of the hard, fiberouse vegetables that I planned on using in my smoothies. It works perfectly, blending brocolli, carrots, frozen blueberries, cabbage, celery, fresh mint and spinache to an even, smooth consistancy. The reversing motor is great for making these smoothies and the preset frozen drink button works well. This Oster blender is a combination food processor and works great for salsa, apple sauce etc. It is constucted of brushed stainless steel and comes with a sturdy glass jar. Nothing like my crappy, plastic blender. It comes with a five year satisfaction guarantee. If you want a powerful, quality blender that is still affordable buy this! Amazon offers replacement blades, etc. at great prices and the blender is actually made in North America! Yea!
BalasHapusThis attractive brushed stainless steel Oster Blender has all the features of the very popular 59 dollar black Fusion model that some reviewers compare to the expensive Vita Mix etc. Same 600 watt dual action motor, 6-point blade, with 2 automatic programs in stylish stainless steel, PLUS it comes with a 5-year Satisfaction Guarantee and sells at WalMart for only 59.00. Unbelievable bargain. I see it other places for 175.
BalasHapusWow! I am very impress with this blender. Though unassuming when looking at the product, it operates far better than what I expected from a blender. The oscillating blades makes for a fine chopping of fruits and vegetables. So as to improve my health, I desired to purchase a juicer; this works out far better because it allows all aspects of the fruits and vegetables [so far] (along with what else, I one day will add to the blend) to remain within the liquid, which makes for a delicious and nutritious treat. Massive thumbs up for this inexpensive ($65), efficient, money-saving and health improving device which is ALREADY serving me well.
BalasHapusI was like goldielocks looking for the right blender. Have the oster beehive in another home and love it, looked for one here locally, no where! So , after some trying, found this one, $59.99, so far exceptional blending! Not an ice chunk to be found. It happens to be quieter then my beehive, but it's a blender, makes noise! As for longevity, time will tell, but for now, i love it!
