Read First Before Buy Blendtec 40 615 50 WildSide Jar
After more than a year, I finally got to use this set of colored pencils. This set include a great variety of colored pencils, good enough for "inking" your drawings, applying skin tones and coloring your manga.
For fine details and "inking", I use the Verithin Colored Pencils. There are five of these included in the set: Black, Cool Grey, Tuscan Red, Dark Brown and Indigo Blue.
I tried Black, Brown and Blue for inking which produced softer edges, but I was pleased with the results. I felt more confident using these pencils for inking than actual ink since my level of inking is novice at best. I erased lightly over them with a white eraser to get rid of my initial pencils, and these colors remained in place. These don't smear easily once applied.
For coloring are 18 colors: Electric Blue, Cloud Blue, Parma Violet, Process Red, Hot Pink, Chartreuse, Light Umber, White, Black, Lavender, Light Peach, Poppy Red, Pale Vermilion, Sunburst Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Cream, Spring Green and Ultramarine.
Combining Black, White, Light Umber, Light Peach, Pale Vermilion, Sunburst Yellow, Lemon Yellow, and Cream provide a great starting range of human skin tones. I was able to produce images that were soft in color, which suited my taste at the moment. However, with the Prismacolors, I was able to increase the intensity of colors by applying several layers. I also tried taking color off with a white eraser and the color didn't smear out of where it was initially applied.
In all, I think this is a great starter set for creating manga, comics books or any color illustrations.
BalasHapusI have a commercial Blendtec that I bought in 2001 for a deli I had, then when closed the deli, put the blender in storage due to cracked jar. I just recently ordered the wildside jar and just love it. I didn't really want to spend the money, but after all the research of Blendtec vs Vitamix, they both come up as quality products worth investing in. I am so glad I bought the jar as the blender itself is like brand new 12 years later! It does so much and is very easy to clean. As the commercial blender has number coded cycles that I forgot how to use, I called customer services and the girls were most helpful, plus, I didn't have to go through a bunch of voice prompts to get to a real person. A great company to say the least!
BalasHapusI love blendtec products. I waited 2 months before deciding to buy this. I wanted to make sure there was really a need. It is well worth it. I blend a lot of fruits and with the regualr container you have to do some not a lot of pre cutting. with the wildside just add enough liquid (liquid for any blender is the key) and you will have to do very little cutting if any depending on the size of the fruit. This is not to say that the blender wouldnt handle the fruit in the smaller regular jar its just sometimes you have to move things around a bit and I am lazy and feel I shouldnt have to do that. Well the wildside fixes that issue
BalasHapusThere is no need for the smaller jar. This jar does everything - we use it at least twice a day and we love it!
BalasHapusthis is bigger then the one i had and turns out easier design to keep clean. we make 5 to 10 smoothies a week with most of us starting our day with a green drink. I recommend this blender and canister
