I picked this book up because I have heard so much about healthy smoothies and how good they are for you that I wanted to try them out for myself. This book offers simple recipes that are healthy and delicious. The book is well organized - and is much more than just a smoothie recipe book. The author breaks down the benefits of fruits and veggies, the how and the why behind smoothies becoming so popular - such as the fact that scientist now recognize that smoothies account for 2 out of the daily target of 5 fruits and veggies. She even gives a helpful little glossary on understanding the terminology of nutrition experts.

The recipes look and sound delicious and even they are well organized - from Morning Meals smoothies such as Berry Banana Breakfast Smoothie to Dessert Smoothies such as Banana and Chocolate Chip Pops. I can't wait to try these out on my family - my kids will not even know they are eating healthy!

  1. Stacy Michaels does a great job at breaking down the basics of smoothies. She offers great illustrations and graphics to help drive the point home that eating healthy is important. Even though we all know that it is best to eat fruits and vegetables, Stacy illustrates the real reasons and just how we can benefit. She even offers step-by-step instructions about how to prepare the fruits and vegetables and make the most of your blender to have success when making smoothies. Her recipes are very clearly written and the illustrations make it even more enticing to want to make every smoothie recipe included in this great smoothie recipe book.

  2. Stacy Michael's - Smoothies For Good Health came along just at the right time when I was looking to change my diet to a simple, healthy regime that was quick to prepare and tasted good. This book fits the bill to a tee with 85 great tasting smoothies that give you a variety of fruit and vegetable choices. So far I've tried the Tropical Fruit Sunrise and the Berry Morning Medley that are both out of this world. This book not only contains smoothie images, but the nutritional information of each smoothie recipe you prepare. Now there is no reason not to eat healthy with a smoothie that is easy to prepare, great tasting and beneficial to your nutritional needs.

  4. This book covers everything you need to know about making smoothies. It even has a section on how to get the best out of your blender. It also covers a bit of nutritonal advice. And it has loads of wonderful sounding smoothies. Unlike a lot of kindle books I have been reading lately, you can tell the author has gone to a lot of time trouble to really make this book great

  5. Summer is just around the corner and I was looking for some chilled recipes to keep this healthy trend that I have going. SMOOTHIES FOR GOOD HEALTH was just the book I'm looking for. An amazing catalog of recipes with a variety of fruits and vegetables to choose from. I tried the Tropical Fruit Sunrise, definitely a die for! The Dessert Smoothies section is also a "must check out". The author inlcudes really good nutritional information and concrete instructions to making smoothies. I highly recommend you check out the book!

  6. I adore this book! The recipes are amazing and the images were so useful for helping me to understand more about the benefits of drinking smoothies. Immediately after reading this, I whipped up a smoothie based on one of the recipes and it was delicious! Stacy has written a brilliant book that's so worth reading!

  7. This book covers everything you need to know about making healthy smoothies. Among the topics it deals with are the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables and the best way to use your blender to make smoothies. Best of all, it gives you 85 delicious-sounding smoothie recipes. I also like that it provides nutrition information for each recipe. This is a good book to buy if you're looking for new ways to incorporate fruits and vegetables into your diet.

  8. There are a couple things I really like about this book. One, the author goes into some detail on the nutrition of smoothies, telling us what types of food we should be eating and going over the five fruits and vegetables rule. Then she gives us about a hundred different recipes of smoothies that anyone can make. And, I believe they can all be made in a blender and don't need a food processor. I have tried a couple and they are really good. I'm looking forward to trying them all.

  9. This is a great book with many different kinds of recipes for smoothies. I have tried a few of them already and they are very good. My kids even liked them! I used to make smoothies all the time for breakfast and the information in this book has encouraged me to make them again. There are also great pictures of some of the recipes. This a great way to get kids eat the needed fruits and vegetables.
