Great upgrade

Best Review on Oster 118530 001 Fusion blender cutter

Oster 118530 001 Fusion blender cutter

This is the ideal upgrade for any Oster blender. Installation was a snap, I removed the four blade mixer and replaced it with the six blade fusion mixer in about 30 seconds. The six blade unit comes with a new gasket and fits perfectly. Before you use the new blade I suggest a pass though the dishwasher and be careful when handling this new blade IT"S VERY, VERY SHARP. Once it was clean I immediately sliced up four apples [I cut out the cores and stems] I then added a little water some brown sugar and cinnamon and the new blade made fresh apple sauce in about a minute. I then tried a few oranges [peeled of course and de-seeded] same result except even faster, ahhh fresh orange juice, BTW I couldn't do these things with the four blade mixer. I'm so glad I bought this blade it saved me the cost of a new blender because now it feels like I have a new more powerful one.

Best Review on PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter 6 5

PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter 6 5

Peanut butter was one of the things I reluctantly gave up while I lost weight. Through diet and lots of exercise, I lost 50 pounds, and have kept it off for several years now. I thought I'd never have peanut butter again - until I saw this in the organic aisle of the grocery store. Well hello, peanut butter, welcome back! :) I love this stuff. It's like whipped peanut butter. I mix 2 tablespoons with 3/4 tablespoons of water, as I like it thick.

Try this for breakfast:

In a blender:
8 ounces of milk (I use 60 calorie original flavor almond milk)
1 serving size of powdered chocolate flavored carnation instant breakfast
1 tablespoon powdered PB2 right out of the jar

- mix until smooth. OMG, it's like drinking a liquid Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

I can have peanut butter again and still fit into my skinny jeans! :)

(PS: the amazon price has GOT to be wrong. I only paid $4.99 for a 6.5 oz jar at the grocery store the other day. Check your local grocery stores, or better yet, the Bell Plantation website where you can buy it cheaper in bulk!)

Best Review on Ball Regular Mouth Storage Caps

Ball Regular Mouth Storage Caps

I use my Mason jars for a million things and was so tired of the two part tops. Here are some of my non-canning uses for which these lids are perfect. All my jars are the wide mouth style so the lids fit on all. I have 1/2 pint, pint and quart jars and use them for my homemade mayonnaise, refrigerator pickles, chicken stock, even opened garden seed packets that I store in the fridge since the seeds are usually viable for three years and I have a small garden so don't use them all in one season.

I store oatmeal and polenta that comes in plastic bags in the quart jars; store powdered sugar, baking soda and corn starch in the pint jars (with labels so I know which is which), and homemade salad dressings, separated eggs, pre-peeled garlic cloves and bulk spices in the small jars. None of those things needs a two-part lid and I'm in and out of the jars often, so having a one-part plastic lid is so much easier. Regarding the garlic cloves, they stay fresh in the fridge after peeling for quite a long time, so I peel a whole head at one time, use what I need and store the rest for quick future use.

When I squeeze my own orange or grapefruit juice or make a smoothie that is too much for one serving, I store the remainder in one of my jars because I can see if it has separated and easily shake it up before serving more later.

I've wished for lids such as these for ages and finally sought them out. I'm a happy camper. The lids wash well in the dishwasher (I've only used the top shelf) and fit all the standard wide mouth jars perfectly. Highly recommended for non-canning use.

Blendtec 40 615 50 WildSide Jar

After more than a year, I finally got to use this set of colored pencils. This set include a great variety of colored pencils, good enough for "inking" your drawings, applying skin tones and coloring your manga.

For fine details and "inking", I use the Verithin Colored Pencils. There are five of these included in the set: Black, Cool Grey, Tuscan Red, Dark Brown and Indigo Blue.

I tried Black, Brown and Blue for inking which produced softer edges, but I was pleased with the results. I felt more confident using these pencils for inking than actual ink since my level of inking is novice at best. I erased lightly over them with a white eraser to get rid of my initial pencils, and these colors remained in place. These don't smear easily once applied.

For coloring are 18 colors: Electric Blue, Cloud Blue, Parma Violet, Process Red, Hot Pink, Chartreuse, Light Umber, White, Black, Lavender, Light Peach, Poppy Red, Pale Vermilion, Sunburst Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Cream, Spring Green and Ultramarine.

Combining Black, White, Light Umber, Light Peach, Pale Vermilion, Sunburst Yellow, Lemon Yellow, and Cream provide a great starting range of human skin tones. I was able to produce images that were soft in color, which suited my taste at the moment. However, with the Prismacolors, I was able to increase the intensity of colors by applying several layers. I also tried taking color off with a white eraser and the color didn't smear out of where it was initially applied.

In all, I think this is a great starter set for creating manga, comics books or any color illustrations.

Hamilton Beach 51108 Stainless Blender

My husband is in love with this little machine, and has recommended it to all his friends. We sell and use Herbalife products, so we needed something to prepare the shakes in. I have a large blender, but it was a hassle to take it out and put it away (we have a small kitchen) for just two shakes. My husband knows exactly how much of each part of the shake to put in this, and how long to mix it for. We only use water and powder in this, so I don't know how it would work with something a bit bigger or bulkier. You do have to hold the button in order to get it to mix, so you can't just leave it mixing while you do something else. It's perfect for a single serving of any type of shake. But the stainless steel is perfect to avoid odor contamination and makes it very easy to clean. It's his favorite toy, and might become yours as well!

Cuisinart CSB 75TQ 2 Speed Immersion Turquoise

This blender, the Cuisnart CSB-75BC, really does 'meet or beat' what I thought a blender should be capable of doing, especially considering the cost. I've only had it a few weeks but I like experimenting with my new stuff so I've tried it out on some soup and veggies, and fruits too; didn't do well with cube ice but then I didn't expect it to. But, it did nicely with heavy cream.

I ordered the chrome version and that's what I got. I didn't find it especially heavy but I only intend holding it for brief periods of time, anyway. Nor did I have any difficulty with the different speeds or being able to control them. Oh, and I didn't cut my fingers 'cause I had the common sense not to forget shutting it off before I stuck my fingers where they shouldn't have been.

This Cuisnart blender looks and feels good and the two halves separate and reattach without difficulty. However, I cannot attest to it's longevity, yet. But if I become dissatisfied, for any reason, I'll update this review.

I've given some thought to what other reviewers have said and, truthfully, I don't understand much of it. This is a blender and, frankly, I think I got just about what I paid for, and what I expected.
