Read First Before Buy Oster 6 Cup Plastic 10 Speed Blender
This is a pretty good blender for $20. I've only had it for about half a week, but it handled a banana and apple smoothie made with ice just fine on the "liquefy" setting.
I knew when I bought it that I wasn't going to be getting the world's greatest blender, but for this price range I feel pretty satisfied so far and I think that a person could get daily use out of it for at least a few years if they were gentle with it. There are probably some duds out there, but mine's not bad at all and I wanted to leave a positive review to help other buyers hear about my good experience with the blender.
I also think it's worth noting that more people probably leave reviews when they have a bad experience than when they have a good one. It might look 60:40, but it's probably more 90:10.
Great for the money. In order to make slushies I had to use a lot of water with the ice. Without it, the crushed ice just sits on the bottom stalling the process. I make shakes and smoothies in it. I love that it is plastic too. Very lightweight and the clean option on the blender is a wonderful addition.

Inexpensive, easy to disassemble and clean, strong and reliable - and it's made in North America. My order was well packaged and shipped promptly. I am very pleased with my purchase.

BalasHapusOur old Oster blender finally died after years of service so I set out to find an exact replacement. This blender fit the bill and was very inexpensive. Not sure all the buttons are labeled the same but the jar mechanics are exactlly the same. The jar is plastic which is why it is a little less expensive than the same blender with a glass jar. I kept my old glass jar so this was not an issue for me.

This blender is able to handle quite a number of textures, including raw kale. Its size makes it easy to store, and I am glad that I made this purchase.
BalasHapusI must say that my old glass blender doesn't even come close to this oster ! It's very sturdy , works very welll, easy to clean, great purchase.

Just to summarize this is a great blender especially for the price I was choosing between this and Hamilton Beach 51101B Personal Blender with Travel Lid, Blackand I am extremely satisfied that I purchased the Osterizer because it has a higher capacity, way more blending options, and a built in fan to cool it. In the video the blender locks up for a second because I started with just straight ice and a little too much of it haha but once liquid and other ingredients were added all was well.
Only cons are that it is plastic and that it doesn't lock although it is pretty secure.
Also As stated in the video I have run this blender on high for 7 minutes straight with no burning smell or problems the fan works great. The smoothie I made was the same consistency all the way through and very smooth. I would recommend this blender as an entry level device for anyone!
