Ninja%C2%AE BL771 Mega Kitchen System

We had the previous version of the Ninja System and this more powerful new system is superior in every way. The old one broke after less than a year. The blade got stuck on a frozen banana and the engine disconnected from the rotor so we returned it and upgraded. I was very pleased with the price - especially vs. Blendtec or VitaMix both of which we considered. For the price of the Ninja system we figured it would be worth trying. I am using protein shakes as a meal replacement as part of an aggressive weight-loss plan and use the blender at least twice a day. The single serving option is amazing. With the old Ninja I would get little chunks of ice or fruit at the bottom. Now they come out completely smooth. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase - its value, its functionality, its performance.

  3. This is awesome. I can do lots of fun new things with this. I primarily use it for daily juicing of fruits and vegetables. I have made piza dough and other batters. I recommend this!

  4. Smothies in seconds, food processor, single serve blender, and a dough mixer.
What can you not do with this and the power is ridiculous.

  5. This one is clearly better because it has far more functionality than the other. One thing I would note is that the safety feature or locking mechanism has to be delicately handled.

  6. First few tries, I made green smoothies - parsley, kale, collard greens, celery, coconut oil, stevia, and water. It turned that vegetation into a smoothie in seconds. It didn't come out smooth like yogurt as how some people want their smoothies, but there weren't any chunks either. It was more pureed than smooth, but I like to chew when drinking a smoothie. Chewing sends signals to the body to create more digestive aid in the stomach. As long as a blender is turning solid food into an easy-to-digest, easily pourable substance is all that matters. It's mind boggling how people complain about blenders not making perfectly smooth smoothies while 10,000 human children die each day from starvation. Bottom line, the Ninja works and works fast.

More recently though I tried to make almond butter. With just almonds, it took it awhile to turn it to cream - but adding about five to seven servings of coconut oil to 1.5 pounds of powdered almonds turned it into creamy delight within seconds.

I temporarily owned a $300+ blender - the ones with the same HP but you have to use that stick to push down the food - and the Ninja is sooooo much more convenient and effective. Even though you have to turn off the Ninja and open the lid to put food in, it blends food way more efficiently than the more expensive competitor's design. With the more expensive unit, I had to keep on using the stick to push down the almonds or else the almonds would get stuck on the side and an empty vacuum would form in the middle making the blade spin like crazy without the friction. Plus the fact that the blade comes out in the Ninja System is awesome. It makes it easier to wash the jug (we hand-wash our dishes).

    Cliffs:
    -Efficiently makes smoothies
-Efficiently makes nut butters (tip: add coconut oil when nuts are powdered)
-More convenient and efficient than $300+ blender (the model with the stick to push down food)
