We got this to replace an existing single use smoothie maker. Right out of the box, you've got all you need to make both smoothies and anything else that you would want. The kid includes 3 cups plus a variety of lids. The interesting thing about the Big Boss is that you have to screw the blade into the cup. You then flip the cup plus blade over and blend it that way. Initially we had concerns about the cup being upside down and leaking but the seal has been fine after a month of heavy usage. One thing to mention is that because you flip the entire cup over, we found that it really gets all of the chunks out. We make smoothies for my son with a lot of vegetables in them. They come out very smooth with no lumps so that my son thinks he's not drinking down a ton of vegetables. :)

Because there are so many lids and cups, we found that we make more smoothies and blended drinks than before. The noise is no noticeably louder than our previous smoothie maker. My only complaint might be that when unscrewing the lid, there are plastic tabs that stick out from the cup that annoy me. But that's really pretty minor. It's been a great kit for the money.

My mom has one of those pastry cutters that's like a row of stationary blades, but when it came time to stock my own kitchen, I decided to go an even more traditional route and try the wire pastry cutter. I could not be happier with my decision. The wires are heavier than those on a whisk, and they allow you to blend pastry dough quickly and effectively. There is a metal thumb rest on one side of the handle that is not shown in the picture that gives extra leverage and comfort. I have only used this to make biscuits and pie crust with (relatively soft) shortening, so I don't know how it would behave with a harder butter dough. For my purposes though, it's perfect. This is much easier to clean than my mom's cutter, too. The round wires do not slice up a kitchen sponge and no dough gets caught between them, even up where they join to the handle.

I waited a week to weigh in on this wonderful product. If you have been waiting to buy because of some negative reviews, many concerns have been addressed in the 9090 version.

Detailed user manual describes all parts, and attachment functions. Motor housing twist-locks easily onto attachments, blades slide snugly onto shaft/removed with a "tine tool" that keeps fingers away from blades. Easy and safe.

The chopping bowl and immersion blender allowed me to put fresh tomato soup on the table for dinner in less than 30 minutes (including simmer time). So easy! I use the chopping bowl every day for raw vegetables. It is a mini Cuisinart without the clean up hassle.

Great for the lazy cook. The chop may not be perfect, but it is fast and will encourage you to experiment! The immersion works very well with various power levels.

Finally, thanks to earlier reviewers for comments that have probably made this product better. And a tip of the hat for warning regarding cleaning cordless equipment with blades. I'm sticking with corded verions that can be unplugged for cleaning!

Read First Before Buy Blender Bottle Protein Blenderball Portable

I bought this set of two blender shakers with blenderballs because I recently made protein shakes a part of my daily routine for getting in shape. I previously used a plastic cup with lid and straw. That worked fine other than the wear and tear to the straw and the danger of it leaking a bit through the straw hole when I filled it too full.

Anyone who uses protein shakes knows that they don't always mix well with just a spoon. I wanted something that held more and had a tighter lid. These shakers were perfect for that, and the blenderball was an added bonus. Now my protein mix is completed blended and I have no spill.

I also like having two because now I have a back up in case I forget to wash one right after use, or I can take two shakes with me in one day. As the other reviews state, the ball and the cup and lid are super easy to clean. I was surprised at how tight the lid is, even the spout that covers the mouth hole has a nice tight seal.

Best product ever that serves its purpose well, and I would highly recommend it to others!
